Have You Used This Tasty Alternative to Milk?

Over the course of the past decade I’ve firmed up my stance on dairy. I’m not 100% against dairy. I think that in moderation and when sourced from the correct areas, dairy can be alright for many. This obviously doesn’t hold true if you’re a person who has a dairy allergy, or, who has opposition to husbandry practices related to modern dairy farming. And while I believe that grass-fed dairy in the form of cheeses, whey protein, yogurts and the like are OK when consumed sparingly, I’m not a big fan of milk. The main reason behind my opposition to milk is that it contains casein protein and lactose, two problematic compounds that are behind many of the problems we...

Mad Scientists Discover This Miracle Compound In Breast Milk

Allow me to confess something... There were no"mad scientists" involved in the discovery of this nutritive compound.  I mean, yeah, there could have been a time where these researchers showed up at work upset because they spilled coffee on their shirt, or upset because their dog tore up another pillow... But "mad" or "crazy?" No. I just wrote that because I think this discovery is pretty incredible, and I had images in my head of diabolical laughter when researchers finally understood how significant this compound is.  We've long known breast milk is extremely important for the healthy growth of infants. Six Great Reasons to Drink Coconut Milk

These Reasons to Drink Coconut Milk Will Blow Your Mind…Maybe In the past year and a half, you’ve heard me harp on the dangers of drinking cow’s milk. Since I’m not a fan of dairy, I’ve featured incredible, natural alternatives like goat milk and almond milk in my writing. Plus, I’ve written about just how awesome coconut oil is for general health. So, it should go without saying that since I’m anti-dairy and pro-coconut, I should probably focus on one of the best dairy substitutes in the world made out of coconut: Coconut milk. Take a second to look over what’s so great about coconut milk, and then imagine just how many ways you could start to incorporate it into your diet....

Does Inflammation Cause Cancer?

Hey Dr. Wiggy, Can You Tell Me…"Does Inflammation Cause Cancer?" My answer? “Yes, yes it can.” People’s concerns about cancer and its causes are warranted. Cancer is a disease we deal with frequently in Western medicine, and it’s something we’ve kind of figured out…and still have so much to learn about. The important thing to remember about cancer is there are a boatload of factors that contribute to this monstrous disease. Factors that we’re pretty confident we understand, and then of course, those we’re still looking to figure out. Truth is, I feel a responsibility as a physician to share the information you’re about to read. That’s because most of you reading this, probably 99.9999% of you, have had a close friend...
