Sulbutiamine (isobutyrylthiamine disulfide) is a lipophilic derivative of thiamine. It is available over the counter in several countries, either as a dietary supplement or as a pharmaceutical. Arcalion (Sulbutiamine) is indicated for the treatment of patients with various medical conditions such as asthenia, chronic fatigue, diabetes, hypothyroidism, kidney disease, fibromyalgia, and depression (postpartum).
